School Council

The childrens School Council is an important part of our school. It gives our children a valuable voice in the organisation, development and events of the school. Every class in Key Stage One and Two elects 2 representatives each year, a boy and a girl. This is done via an election model where the children who would like to run for representative put together a poster and a presentation to give to their class. Each year we have many children who put themselves up for election. The representatives attend the fortnightly meetings and feedback to their class at Class Council times -collating any views/ideas to take back to School Council.

The Council has officials - Chairman, Vice Chair, Secretary, Public Relations Officer and Treasurer. The Council also doubles as our Eco Group leading the school forward in our endeavours to be a more eco friendly school.

School Council 2010-2011

As we begin a new school year the children are busy preparing their election campaigns. When the classes have chosen their new representatives this page will be updated.

Please come back and visit our page as we will be updating details of what we are up to during this academic year.

In addition to the council we also have our Global Group

Global Group

The Global Group helps lead and organise international issues across the school. There is an elected representative from each class, who is the voice for their group. It is an important part of the philosophy of our school that children understand diversity and have tolerance and respect for others. The Group work on activities with the International Co-Ordinator and feedback to their class, and collate views and ideas. The group also doubles as our Fairtrade Group who work with Bicester fairtrade Steering Group when appropriate.
